City water is provided by the Rural Aqueduct Administration of Nosara, under
the direction of the national Instituto Costarricense Acueductos y Alcantarillados.
The supply consists of three water wells drilled to the deep aquifer in the
region. These wells are pumped to storage tanks in the mountains, which provide
sufficient pressure for the town's needs.
Water quality testing is performed quarterly by certified technicians of
AyA, and the reports are publicly available to town residents through Nosara's Rural Aqueduct
Administration.
As Nosara grows, so do the demands on our city's water supply. Although
at the moment, water is plentiful in town because of the hard work of our local aqueduct
administration, please remember that we need to conserve our precious clean
drinking water.
